The ceasefire has provided people in Aleppo a chance to enjoy relative calm for the festival of Eid al-Adha. The Muslim world's holiest holiday began on Monday, the same day the latest truce took effect.
"Thank God the situation is so good. We are able to work. The Eid of this year is so much better than last year. The situation is calm now and with the truce things will be much better," said popcorn vendor Bakry.
"We hope this truce will be a good start for our country, toward a comprehensive and permanent solution for us to live in peace and security with our families and the whole population," said parkgoer Abdulatif.
