Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has held phone talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Wang says China welcomes the agreement of ceasefire in Syria and hopes it can be implemented to facilitate political settlement of the Syria crisis.
The foreign ministers also exchange views on DPRK’s nuclear test. Wang says the situation on the Korean Peninsula turns complicated and tense. China urges all relevant parties to remain restrained and implement U.N. resolutions. He also calls for restart of talks to manage and control the intensity.
Larvrov says Russia agrees with China’s stance on DPRK’s nuclear issue and will keep close contact with China to cope with challenges and maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
