Pyonyang conducted its fifth and, as many believed, the biggest nuclear test on Friday. The nation has also declared its ability to mount a warhead on a ballistic missile.
Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement censuring the test, urging the DPRK to meet its denuclearization commitments. United Nations Security Council has agreed to start work on new sanctions against the DPRK. South Korean Foreign Minister, Yun Byung-se, said the DPRK's nuclear capabilities had grown to a "considerable level", adding that tougher sanctions and greater pressure were needed. According to environmental authorities, the latest monitoring result shows the test has not affected radiation levels in China. This is the fifth nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang since 2006. It is also its second test this year.
