The Chinese Super League resumes tomorrow after the summer break with SIPG hosting Beijing Guoan. In advertising the match, the Shanghai side has put up a poster that prominently features Hulk which would suggest that the Brazilian has recovered from his injury and ready to get back on the pitch.
Both Elkeson and Jean Evrard Kouassi are expected to play in Friday's game for SIPG and coach Sven-Goran Eriksson also confirmed that "if there is no suprise", Hulk will be playing against Guoan. The return of the most expensive foreign player in the CSL will be a huge boost to SIPG both domestically and in their AFC champions league campaign.
Meanwhile their opponents Guoan could also do with some help. The capital club is so far having one of their worst seasons. Beijing travel to Shanghai ninth in the standings and with a heavily broken squad. Four Chinese players have been suspended for yellow cards from before the break and forward Pu Cheng is out with an injury. Brazilian Renato Augusto has just come back to the club, but will not be part of the starting lineup due to jet lag.
