Full coverage: G20 Hangzhou Summit

With a heavy media presence covering the G20 summit both in Hangzhou and abroad, our CCTV correspondent takes a look at some of the media focus and reporting outside of China.

This is the first time the G-20 summit has been held in China. President Xi says it comes at a "crucial time" due to feeble trade and volatile markets.

The G-20 was started back in 1999, as a way for the largest economies in the world to get together to work on international financial stability. Some Western reporting is giving China high marks for its G-20 work.

The Economist writing: "Even China's hosting of the G20 is in its way an accomplishment. In 2005 Robert Zoellick, then America's deputy secretary of state, called on China to become a 'responsible stakeholder' in the international system. The eagerness with which China has taken to its G20 hosting duties is evidence that it is."

Much of the media focus is also on Great Britain's new Prime Minister, as Theresa May attends her first international summit.

The Independent reporting that May is telling global leaders that Britain is still, quote,  "open for business." The Independent writes："Mrs. May will give a major speech to leaders, many of whom warned Brexit would be a disaster for the world economy, to insist the UK's EU exit will be 'smooth and orderly.'"
