Full coverage: G20 Hangzhou Summit

One of the items that China has put on the agenda for this year's G20 Summit is "green financing". On Wednesday, China's central bank and six other central government agencies announced they would establish a green financing mechanism.

Supportive policies include government interest subsidies via refinancing and professional guarantees, and the establishment of a national green development fund. This is the first time "green financing" has been on the G20 agenda. The G20 has set up a team to research the issue.
