Full coverage: G20 Hangzhou Summit
To continue our discussion, we are joined by two guests in the studio. Mr. Liu Zhiqin, senior fellow at Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University. And Mr. Andrew Monk, CEO of VSA Capital Group.
Q1. To Mr. Liu : With just days left until international delegates flock to Hangzhou, the city is looking every bit a paradise on earth. How does hosting such an important global event contribute to a second tier city's development ?
Q2. To Andrew: As this year’s host for the G20 summit, China has included “green finance” as a discussion topic at the summit. Can we expect any breakthroughs?
Q3. Andrew: Six US senators have sent President Obama a letter urging him to make cyber security a priority at this weekend’s G20 Summit. Cyber security hasn't been a focus so far. Do you think the leaders will pay particular attention to the issue?
Q4. Mr Liu: Many leaders of the world’s most important economies are hoping that the G20 summit could be a platform to give new impetus to “hard reforms” to tackle sluggish global growth. Given that monetary and fiscal policies have been stretched pretty far with limited effects, what kind of reforms are needed?
