Canada's Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has met premier Li Keqiang during his first official visit to China since taking office. During the welcoming ceremony hosted by Li, the Canadian and Chinese national anthems were played by a military band. Trudeau also reviewed the Combined Guard of Honor of the People's Liberation Army.

During a press conference, Li and Trudeau said China and Canada would make efforts to advance practical cooperation in all fields and promote peace and prosperity for both countries and the world.
