The UEFA Champions league campaign is upon us. The season kicks-off on September 13, with 31 squads looking to topple Real Madrid and be crowned Europe's top club football side. And the sides would find out who they would face in the group stages -- during the draw, which was held in Monaco.
The ceremony begins when former footballer Ian Rush brings out the champions league trophy. Clarence Seedorf then draws out Barcelona before Rush puts Barcelona into Group C. Pep Guardiola will return to former club Barcelona with Manchester City after the two sides were drawn together. Guardiola will seek revenge this time after his former club Bayern Munich lost to the Catalans in 2014-15 season.
Here is a quick look at the groups, last season's runners-up Atletico Madrid face a tough group with five-time winners Bayern Munich, Eindhoven from the Netherlands and new-comers Rostov of Russia.
Reigning champions Real Madrid are in the same pool with former champs Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, plus Poland's Legia Warsaw. English champions Leicester City, will be confident of reaching the knockout stages after being drawn against former winners Portugal's Porto, Club Brugge from Belgium and Denmark's Copenhagen.
