On August 23, Chinese President Xi arrived at Banyan village in Haidong city, Qinghai Province while it was raining. He inspected new village construction projects that were designated for relocated farmers to alleviate poverty.

Netizens have expressed support for Xi saying he is honest, pragmatic, and friendly, while his deeds reflect the people's wills, and he serves the public sincerely.

Xi toured the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau ecological protection zone, despite being busy at his job. He heard local residents talk about their jobs and the challenges they face in their daily lives. He also met with children to ask them about their education.

Xi has demonstrated a pragmatic style. He encouraged local people to remain resolute to combat poverty under the party's leadership.

He pledged to keep a warm heart to engage in poverty alleviation. In every place he visited, he inquired about the locals' livelihoods, accommodations, education and health care. He has called on Party leaders not to neglect a single poor famer and any poverty-stricken area in China.

During the tour, Xi encouraged leaders of the Party with the motto, "We'll never stop until we reach our goal" to carry out precisely poverty reduction with firm determination and strong will, as long as the whole nation unites with one mind, devoted efforts and emotion, concentrates energy and responsibilities, alleviating poverty to build a moderately prosperous society as scheduled.
