Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has briefed the media about the G20 Summit, saying preparations are proceeding smoothly and China will not disappoint.

“The G20 summit is a very important platform for global economic governance, in particular against the backdrop of sluggish global economy. All sides hope this summit could explore new impetuses for economic growth,” Wang said.

“China has realized its obligations and responsibilities as the host. We are making final preparations and the summit’s key achievements have been locked in. This summit could become the most fruitful one so far.”
