Russia's Olympic team received a warm welcome when they arrived back in Moscow from Rio de Janeiro.

Alexander Zhukov, President of the Russian National Olympic Committee, congratulated the athletes on their performance in Rio and called the Russian team "the cleanest" team at this year's games.

Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev called the decision to ban Russian athletes from the Rio Paralympics "extremely cynical". On Tuesday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the Russian Paralympic Committee's appeal to compete in the Paralympic Games.
