China is seeing signs of a recovering economy, as the total value of social logistics goods reached 126 trillion yuan by the end of July. According to a report from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, this is a 6 percent growth year on year.

China saw a steady growth in logistics demand in the first half of the year, despite a slight drop in July due to extreme weather conditions.

Over in the industrial sector, the total number reached a hundred and seventeen trillion yuan, up 6 percent from the same period last year.

Weather conditions in July caused land and sea transportation prices to dip. China's Highway Freight Index dropped nearly 7 percent. And the shipping index saw a near 4 percent decrease year-on-year despite a 14 percent growth last month.
