The Chinese Ambassador to the United States says it's the responsibility of both sides to work for constructive results at the upcoming G20 Summit in east China's Hangzhou.

Cui Tiankai also said that the two countries are expected by many, to play a leading and constructive role in cooperation within the Group of 20.

He suggests both sides should do more towards strengthening the weak global economy.

Speaking to Chinese-language press in Washington, the Ambassador said he believes the meeting between Xi Jinping and Barack Obama at the G20 will continue to strengthen the development of bilateral ties and the management of bilateral differences.

He also noted that the South China Sea should not be a problem between China and the United States.
