There was final day joy for the hosts Brazil as the men’s volleyball team won gold. They beat Italy in three sets in the final. It was their first Olympic title in 12 years.
Kenyans crowned champions of both men’s and women’s races
Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya won the men’s marathon, crossing the line in two hours eight minutes and 44 seconds. Feyisa Lilesa of Ethiopia came second. It means Kenya claimed both the marathon titles in Rio.
