Russia's armed forces have carried out an exercise in Crimea, which involved the transfer of troops and equipment to the peninsula from Russia.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the exercise involved vessels of the Black Sea Fleet, including a large landing ship, a diesel-electric submarine, minesweeping ships and missile cruisers, as well as railway trains and river vessels.
The troops participating in the drill also rehearsed intercepting groups of saboteurs and repelling a submarine attack. The ministry said the exercise was part of a larger logistics troops drill with 2,500 troops and around 350 vehicles.
