India's Sakshi Malik has won a bronze medal in women's wrestling, to open the medals account for India at the Rio Olympics.

In the bronze medal bout, Malik managed to seal it 8 to 5 in her favour. Meanwhile, another Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav was handed a four-year ban from the sport for doping.  That's after the World Anti-Doping Agency won its appeal against his earlier exoneration.

The freestyle wrestler said his supplements and water were sabotaged. In response, WADA said it did not accept Yadav's argument.

The Agency said all competitive results Yadav obtained since June 25th of this year, would be disqualified.
