Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that Turkey isn't ruling out military cooperation with Russia. It could include joint military exercises and intelligence-sharing. He also said that Turkey's relations with NATO were not satisfactory, adding there was a lack of willingness from the alliance to cooperate.
It is Cavusoglu’s strongest rebuke of NATO to date. Russia is considering providing military bases to Turkey for anti-terrorism purposes. Relations between Turkey and Russia were previously frosty after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane over Syria last November.
