China, Mongolia and Russia have started a road freight test at Tianjin Port in Eastern China. Over the following days, cargo fleets from the three countries will travel over 2,000 kilometers, testing a road network named the Asian Highway Network.
Freight will go through the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator before arriving in southern Russia's Ulan-Ude. The road connection project comes under a bigger plan by the three neighboring countries, that ultimately wish to create an economic corridor.
