Beijing has held the fourth China Internet Security Conference. More than 30,000 delegates from 70 companies and organizations attended the two-day meeting, which wrapped up today.

The focus was on strengthening Internet security through joint efforts. Experts and insiders discussed a range of issues, including global and regional cyber security, as well as investment and cooperation. Industry experts warn China is still facing severe challenges. A shortage in professionals is restricting the development of cyber security companies.

Authorities are calling for open cooperation to crack down on cyber crimes globally. Chinese internet security company Qihoo 360 is offering its latest scanning system FREE to the world. Qihoo says the global real-time scanning system will share its database with industry players around the world.  It says this will lower the chances of an attack on users.
