Celebrations are in full swing in Indonesia as the country marks its 71st Independence Day. Officials said they were expecting a high-spirited celebration this year.
The national day parade included dance and choir performances. A flag-hoisting ceremony also took place at the State Palace in Jakarta, with a replica of Indonesia's original national flag.
