Various experts have been talking about the G20 Summit and what it means for the world economy. Guven Sak, the Chairman of the Turkish think tank, the Economic Policy Research Foundation, says innovation will be a key topic at this year’s G20 summit with a focus on technologically driven, sustainable growth.

Vara Prasad, a professor in international affairs at Jawaharlal Nehru University in India, says the summit should focus on promoting global economic prosperity and look for ways to jumpstart global economic growth. Prasad says Chinese efforts to revive historic trade routes through multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects like the Silk Road initiative create a lot of opportunities for the world economy.

Former Mexican ambassador to China and the United Nations, Jorge Eduardo Navarrete, attributes the current global business environment to a combination of macro-economic circumstances and national policies. Navarrete says the world needs a country like China to push things in a more positive direction and to convince G20 leaders to adopt policies that will create more jobs around the world.
