Full coverage: 2016 Rio Olympics

The US has scored a lot in the swimming pool yesterday. So far it is clinching on the first place in the gold  medal table, with 26 golds, 11 more than the second place -- UK.

While UK has some  surprising performances in the past two days, it has taken over China to the second, with 3 silvers' edge.  Russia and Germany are also among the top five so far.
