A successful day of diving for China, as Shi Timgmao is able to grab gold and help China leap to a 1-2 finish in the women's springboard. She spoke to our Dan Williams after her triumph.
Diver leads a Chinese gold and silver finish in Brazil
"Im excited with the win, and achieving my dream also, I am very happy about that," Shi said.
"I wasn't paying too much attention to the score, I think it has a lot to do with my daily training. That gives me a good foundation in the competition which helps me perform well in the final."
"I think everyone did a good job today, my heart was racing during the last couple of dives. I could feel the pressure, I'm glad that I could perform well at the end."
"I think all the nerves is because this is my first Olympics, I was so afraid of unexpected things occurring, and all that made me very nervous."
"I think the result so far is very good for our team. I feel that if we could give 100 percent effort, that is the what the Olympics are about. We cannot predict the results, but I'm happy if we could just enjoy the process."
"I will definitely continue diving if my body allows me, so I will keep training hard, keep competing and hopefully represent China more and win more titles for China."
