It's Day 6 of medal competitions in the 2016 Rio Olympics. China has bagged a total of 29 medals, including 11 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze. The men's table tennis final was a Chinese duel, with world number one Ma Long defeating defending champion Zhang Jike. This is the third consecutive time that China's table-tennis team has taken both the gold and silver medal in the Olympics.
And a surprise from the swimming pool. China's Shi Jinglin finished in third in the women's 200-meter breaststroke. Rie Kaneto won Japan's second swimming gold. For the women's team epee fencing tournament, the 2012 London champion China finished in second, after losing to Romania 38-44.
And in the 50-meter rifle three positions women event, Chinese shooter Zhang Binbin got the silver medal, while Du Li grabbed the bronze. Germany's Barbara Engleder took home the gold.
