Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong has met with Mexican Culture Minister Rafael Tovar in an official visit to the Latin American country.
Both have witnessed the signing of a joint declaration boosting cooperation in culture and the arts. Liu says China attaches great importance to the development of China-Mexico relations, as next year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Liu added that China will take next year as an opportunity to work closely with Mexico on their blueprint.
Tovar says Mexico hopes to draw from China's experience in the reform of education and culture. Liu and Mexican officials later attended a performance celebrating the "Year of China-Latin America Cultural Exchange in 2016". Mexico will host events for the "Year of Chinese Culture" next year.
