China's innovative road-straddling bus has made its first test run in north China's Hebei province.
The Transit Elevated Bus, or TEB, is 22 metres long, nearly 8 metres wide and 5 metres high. It can carry up to 300 passengers. Vehicles lower than two metres can drive beneath its arch-like shape, which has the potential to ease traffic jams throughout the country.
The designing company says however, that a part of the bus needs further assembling. Currently, the TEB can travel at a maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. Countries like Brazil, France and India have already shown interest in using the bus.
