China has voiced strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition against Japan's accusations in its newly released white paper.
China's Defense Ministry spokesperson Wu Qian says Japan's defense white paper made irresponsible remarks on China's normal activities on military growth and national defense.
Colonel Wu also says Japan is attempting to seek political profit through meddling in the South China Sea issue.
Wu added that Japan's interference in the South China sea is jeopardizing the regional peace and stability. Japan accused China of changing the status quo in the Asia Pacific, while it carried out illegal activities itself through the so-called "purchasing" of China's Diaoyu Islands, and at the same time seeking militarization by changing its Peace Constitution.
Wu also urged Japan to create conditions for developing China-Japan relations through concrete actions, reflect upon history, respect the facts, and stop deceiving the international community.
