China and Russia have voiced serious concern over the deployment of the THAAD system in South Korea.

Chinese and Russian foreign ministry officials noted at a meeting in Moscow on Northeast Asia security that the deployment of the anti-missile system will harm the strategic security interests of countries in the region.
They added that such a unilateral and non-constructive action taken by the US will have a negative effect to the strategic balance of the region and the world.
Both sides expressing firm opposition to issues relevant to the THAAD deployment. They agreed to enhance coordination in order to better cope with the negative developments.
