China's central meteorological observatory has forecast that scorching days will continue in some areas during the following three days.
Temperature will remain between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius in most areas in southern and eastern China.
North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has also been lashed by heat waves. The highest temperature in the region reached as high as 41.5 degrees Celsius on Friday.
The local meteorological department has issued the second highest alert for high-temperature and said that the seared weather will continue.
