Taiwan investigators say they have found new information about last week's shocking bus crash that killed dozens of mainland tourists. The man driving the bus at the time of the accident -- was drunk.

"The driver's blood, urine and stomach contents have all tested positive for alcohol concentrations above the legal limit. The prosecutors have investigated the driver's whereabouts, as well as his dining and drinking behavior before his death, and have confirmed that he was drunk-driving," said Wang Yi-Wen, prosecutor of Taoyuan District Prosecutor's Office.

No drugs -- other than alcohol -- were detected in the driver's body. Investigators say they are working to confirm whether the driver's intoxication was linked to the cause of the deadly crash.

The Taiwan bus collided into a highway barrier and caught fire near Taoyuan Airport last Tuesday. Everyone onboard was killed, including 24 mainland tourists. According to a preliminary report, the deadly fire that consumed the vehicle after the accident began somewhere in the front of the bus. Investigations are still underway.
