The Islamic State's news agency Aamaq has released a video allegedly showing the two attackers who killed a priest in northern France earlier this week.

The video shows two men sitting on a floor, clasping hands, and pledging allegiance to the militant group. The speaker in the video identified himself as Abu Jaleel al-Hanafi. The other was Ibn Omar, who was previously identified by French prosecutors as 19-year-old Adel Kermiche who lived in north-west France. He tried travelling to Syria twice last year using family members' identity documents.

The deadly hostage incident in a Normandy church on Tuesday left an elderly priest dead. Both attackers were subsequently killed by the police outside.
