Officials in Somalia say at least 13 people have been killed in twin explosions near the airport in the capital, Mogadishu.
The first explosion happened after a car bomb exploded while a second attacker, attempting to storm the African Union office block, was shot by security forces and his explosive device detonated.
Al-Shabaab, a jihadist terrorist group based in East Africa, has claimed responsibility for the attack. A spokesman for the African Union said that the militants were specifically targeting their offices.
