German police have arrested a 16-year-old Afghan youth suspected of having a connection to the gunman of the Munich attack.
Police said on Sunday the youth was under investigation for possibly having failed to report the plans of the gunman. The youth was questioned after he contacted the police after Friday's shooting.
Investigators later uncovered contradictions in his statements. Police also said the youth had a role in a Facebook post which invited people to a meeting at a cinema near Munich's central train station. But no further details were provided.
