It's been a long and sometimes bitter presidential campaign for Donald Trump. But on Thursday night the Republican presidential candidate officially accepts the party's nomination.
Trump supporters shout down his former Rival Ted Cruz from the floor as he refuses to back Donald Trump - many of his supporters have passionate from the beginning - they want the outsider - who has never been a politician - a man who speaks his mind-and now they feel vindicated for backing the winner.
"I've been a Trump supporter from day 1 - I had a Trump rally from West Virginia Logan county where I'm from and we had a great turnout - you know people thought we were crazy at first and now you see the turn out here," said Bridget White, Delegate, West Virginia.
Despite the controversies surrounding his candidacy for President -Trump has won more votes in the Primaries than any other Republican candidate in history -
He won big in his home state of New York - Chinese American Mei Lin Tan from Flushing Queens was the first ever Asian delegate from the state back in 1996 - twenty years later she is an ardent Trump support
"We need an extraordinary leader at these special times to change America , to change the world for the better," said Mei Lin Tan, delegate, New York.
Her Son Oliver is a delegate for the first time this year and proud to be an Asian American casting his vote for Trump.
"It's the greatest honor any delegation could ever receive and New York front and center voting for our favorite son you know this is the most amazing thing and everyone is going to be remembering this one," said Oliver Tan, delegate, New York.
All around the hall on hats badges and Tshirts - the Trump name- his supporters have been vindicated here this week - - a year ago people laughed at a Trump candidacy - now no longer.
Donald Trump has convinced the delegates here that he is the man for the job of President of the United States now he has to convince Americans not just Republicans if he is going to win the White House in November.
