Over 40% of the world’s gold passes through Dubai. That’s according to officials in the Middle Eastern city, which wants to become the global hub for the yellow metal.

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre oversees the trade in the city… and its CEO Gautam Sashittal was recently appointed as an International Advisor to the Shanghai Gold Exchange.

CCTV reporter Nawied Jabarkhyl sat down with him and began by talking about Dubai and the DMCC's role in the global gold trade.
