British Prime Minister Theresa May has met her counterpart German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.
May has emphasized that she will not be rushed into triggering Britain's exit from the European Union, as she still needs time to form a negotiating stance. EU leaders said they will not enter into formal negotiations with Britain until it triggers exit procedures.
Meanwhile, the Merkel indicated that the EU's biggest member states - rather than its institutions - will determine the exit talks.
