The governor of the New Development Bank says the institution founded by the BRICS countries has lent about US$11 million for five projects involving its member countries.

Governor KV Kamath of India said Wednesday at the NDB's first annual meeting in Shanghai that the bank also has issued its first yuan-denominated green bonds. Kamath said the value of the issue was 3 billion yuan, or around US$450 million.
