Twenty-seven military officers were brought to court in Ankara, including former Air Force Commander General Akin Ozturk.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said official paperwork requesting for the extradition of U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen will be filed within days.
The former ally of Erdogan is accused of being behind Friday’s failed coup. On Monday, the Turkish authorities launched an investigation into Incirlik Air Base, where a tanker plane had taken off to refuel at least one jet piloted by coup soldiers.
