China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi has reiterated China's stance to not accept the ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the arbitration case submitted by the Philippines.

Wang said the arbitration is "politically manipulated," and China's position is in fact defending the rule of international law and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Wang made the remarks while meeting with Federica Mogherini, the EU's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy.
