China's GDP growth has proved better than expected in the second quarter of 2016, signifying a stabilizing economy amid downward pressure.

According to fresh numbers from the National Bureau of Statistics, GDP growth for the second quarter came in at 6.7 percent -- unchanged from the previous quarter. The data compiler says China's effort in pushing the supply side reform and encouraging mass innovation have been the major drivers for GDP growth in the period.

Looking ahead, analysts believe China should pay special attention to any major fallout from the Brexit, as it would leave the world even more vulnerable to the risk of a global recession.
