Argentina's Science Ministry has announced the discovery of a carnivorous dinosaur species in the southern Argentine region. This adds to Patagonia's growing reputation as a dinosaur cemetery. The team responsible for the discovery says the species "Gualicho shinyae" lived in the area Argentina currently occupies, about 90 million years ago.

The fossil measured up to 26 feet long but its arms were about two feet, just as the same length as a human child's. As early as 2007, fossils of the dinosaur have been found in Argentina's northern Patagonia region. But the team ran into several issues that prevented them from analyzing the samples before.
