The General Administration of Customs says China's exports continued to grow in June, while imports dropped. GAC figures showed that yuan-denominated exports rose 1.3 percent in June from a year ago. That was better than market expectations and slightly higher than May's 1.2 percent increase.

Meanwhile, imports fell 2.3 percent. That was worse than May's 5.1 percent growth. The trade surplus in June decreased to about 311 billion yuan from May's 325 billion yuan.

China's goods trade reached 11.13 trillion yuan in the first six months of this year,  down 3.3 percent from the same period a year ago. The GAC said that China's goods trade showed a downside trend in the first half of this year, but the situation gradually recovered in the second quarter.
