Taiwan said Tuesday it "absolutely won't accept" the award of an arbitral tribunal in the South China Sea arbitration established at the request of the Philippines.
The island's leader's office said that the ruling "is not legally binding." The office also said the award has severely damaged the rights of the South China Sea Islands and relevant waters, especially the ruling of the pacific island. The office points out that relevant disputes should be resolved through negotiations and consultations.
