Cambodia's Foreign Ministry has released a statement reiterating the country's support for China's position on the South China Sea issue.

Earlier, in June, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Cambodia opposes any ASEAN statement that supports the decision of the Permanent Court of Arbitration on the case. He called the arbitration a "conspiracy" to create division among ASEAN members and between ASEAN and China.
