The Tibet Development Forum has concluded with the signing of the 2016 Lhasa Consensus. More than 130 experts from over 30 countries and regions attended the two-day forum. Attendees discussed how to promote economic development at the top of the world while preserving traditions, protecting the environment, and raising living standards. The 2016 Lhasa Consensus hailed Tibet's economic, cultural, and ecological achievements so far.

"The forum, in which people from around the globe discussed ways to boost Tibetan prosperity, is a positive action to show China's confidence and openness to the world. The event will help the world better understand Tibet and build consensus on it, which is beneficial to Tibet's development. Participants hope the forum will continue to improve and attract more talented people to advance Tibet's development," said Miguel Alfredo Velloso from Argentine Council for Int'l Relations.
