Conservative lawmakers have chosen the final two candidates on Thursday to replace David Cameron as Britain's next prime minister.
The two runners will be Interior Minister Theresa May and Andrea Leadsom, Minister at the Department of Energy and Climate Change. That means the country will have its second female Prime Minister, after Margaret Thatcher, who took on the role from 1979 to 1990.
The result will be decided by 150-thousand Conservative Party members. The winner will be announced on September 9th. She will have the task of extricating Britain from its 43-year membership in the European Union following the seismic vote in last month's referendum to leave the bloc.
