The US International Trade Commission plans to hold a hearing about alleged patent infringements by such electronics giants as ZTE, Lenovo, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics.
The hearing is based on a complaint filed March 24th by Creative Technology of Singapore and Creative Labs of Milpitas, California. The complaint alleges violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. That section involves the importation and sale of goods that infringe on an existing patent.
The commission will issue an injunction and block the contested goods from U.S. markets if it determines that the companies violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act.
