Vanke's A shares rebounded in early trading on Wednesday after two days of slumps and hitting the lower limit in the stock's first trading sessions since December. But shares dropped again later Wednesday and dipped 3.5 percent by mid-day.

More than 15 billion yuans' worth of Vanke A shares were traded in the market in half a day. That was the biggest volume since the company was listed.

Vanke's H shares rose on Monday and Tuesday in the Hong Kong market and continued the trend on Wednesday. Vanke's H shares increased more than 5 percent in early trading Wednesday after the company's largest shareholder bought more stock on Tuesday.
