Over 130 political parties and organizations around the world support China's position on the South China Sea issue. They have called for related parties to solve their disputes through negotiation.

Ruling Cambodian People's Party leader and Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen says the CPP will not back an upcoming decision on the South China Sea, calling it "the worst political collusion in the framework of international politics".

Palestinian leaders say they support China's sovereignty in the South China Sea. Fatah's central committee member Abbas Zaki has warned that external interference will only escalate regional conflict. 

The Foreign Affairs consultant to the Czech President, Jan Kohout, says unilateral actions taken by the Philippines have hindered efforts to resolve the South China Sea issue.

Iran's Islamic Coalition Party criticizes the US's interference in the South China Sea. The party's international department deputy, Mehdi Soli says the US is trying to enhance its influence in Asia by pushing China on the issue.

Experts in International law question the legality of the arbitration case that was filed by the Philippines back in 2013. A senior fellow at Stanford University, Abraham Sofaer, says it will set a bad precedent for international law and has called on Washington to urge its Pacific ally back to the negotiating table.

A top legal expert from Oxford University, Antonios Tzanakopoulos, says the sovereignty dispute between China and Philippines is an issue of Customary International Law not covered by the Convention on the Law of the Sea. And a different arrangement is needed to legally resolve the dispute.
